I know the authors have cormeh an updated edition; I do not yet own it, and could contrast with assurance only the two editions’ coverage of string-matching algorithms.

Intro very smartly uses pseudocode that doesn’t attempt to resemble any popular programming language with its own idiosyncratic syntax and responsibilities.
But it’s still worth it. The topics in the book is well explained with concise example.
The problem with this comes down to the fact that is focuses too much on the mathematical details, while ignoring other interesting aspects. Why is that so hard? After the addition of the fourth author in the second edition, many began to refer to the book as “CLRS”.
