I thoroughly enjoyed the first two in this series The Heechee Sagabut this title seemed a little forced. Perhaps its just because I’m glad the series is over. Consider that the computers in use at the time were using floppy drives, something much more delicate and less than truly reliable. This book finished the story and I worry that anything else would just get boring. This is something I can deal with but Pohl somehow manages to continually make him get rendezvoue the reader’s nerves.
The story pace is slow and circles around the drain for too long.
